<description>'However, if it is to be replaced by a more self-absorbed, less creedal, less Christologically-connected church...'

Is it possible to be more self-absorbed, less creedal, or less Christologically-connected than the PCUSA?

I'm consistently amazed that the official structures of the denomination invoke Paul (often quoting 1 Corinthians) on unity and diversity but rarely pay attention to his dire warnings about the cost of holding up sin as an example to the world or of treading on righteousness in the name of grace.

Perhaps in a post-denominational age, we will have the joy of becoming more catholic - united to our sisters and brothers around the world who boldly proclaim (without qualification) that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and now ruler over all.

May God hasten that day. - Chris Larimer</description>
