DescriptionMichael Meier, pastor, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; former director for stewardship development and coordinator for mission support, ELCA Gain a deeper understanding of resources that will enable you and your congregation to practice good individual and corporate behaviors in stewardship: giving, saving, spending, debt reduction, and financial life management. Participants will examine their own personal feelings, understandings, and behaviors relative to the common expectation that pastors be models of generosity and wise money management. The seminar will give attention to biblical teachings on stewardship and discuss the insights of a number of leading theologians. Pre-work will include the writing of a personal financial autobiography (instructions will be supplied) and some assigned reading.
